I still couldn’t speak it though… If I could’ve learned Japanese from a dream though, I’d have it made… I’d be playing Hearts and Innocence endlessly right now…

I had a dream last night that I could understand it as if it were in English… I woke up and tried to play it just to see if my dream would come true… T_T no such luck…

Thank you ThroughHim… But I apologized because you’ve had to get onto me about starting flame-wars on your forum before…

Personally I really wish they’d actually try to advertise or build up some hype to the Tales series… Many of the titles are sorely underrated and the missing mothership Tales titles, as well as VS., need to be brought over… I count 5 missing mothership titles… Destiny 2, Rebirth, Innocence, Hearts, and Graces… Every other mothership title has been brought over… Phantasia, Destiny, Eternia (as Destiny 2), Symphonia, Legendia, Abyss, and Vesperia… I own all of those plus Radiant Mythology and Symophonia 2… I heard a rumor sometime ago that an American version of Rebirth is available through special order, but when I looked into the rumor it turned out to be false, too bad… Rebirth is the one I’m most interested in playing…

^– This. Oh God, this. Xing is an endless source of entertainment in this regard. I wish I had a screenshot to post of his latest antics at the point that I am in the game. (Just got back to the Imperial Capital from Noqueen, it’s a fairly tense scene, Calcedony flies off to save the Empress, and Xing… well, it would ruin it to just say it, but his line was just so stupid that it had me simultaneously facepalming and cracking up.)

On the other hand, I know that sort of thing drives some other people nuts.

I wasn’t asking for any apologies. You don’t have to agree with me. In my mind, both Tales and Kingdom Hearts are enjoyable precisely because they are so absurdly cliche. If you can say that either series has an original bone in its body, you’re really fooling yourself. Some of the stuff in Tales of Hearts was so corny and over-done that I almost laughed myself right out of my chair, but that was also what made Hearts one of my favorites in the series. The cheesy moments in Kingdom Hearts are no different. Being cliche doesn’t make something bad and I think both series have done some interesting things while still clearly functioning within established scenarios and character archetypes.

Anyway, I really don’t care what people talk about as long as you keep it civil. Outside opinions have never ruined a gaming experience for me, so yeah… knock yourselves out or whatever.
